Does anyone know how to delete an IE shortcut from the desktop

I need to replace the old InfoView shortcut to our old Crystal Report server and replace it with a new one pointing to our new server. I was able to send the new shortcut out as task, but I can't find the old one via LANDesk to remove it. So right now the users have both shortcuts.

Also does anyone know how to query for Internet shortcuts, (.lnk or .url).
